The Great Deyu
Legends speak of a great black dragon who once ruled the skies of Nova. Deep within Heaven's Pass the great beast nested. People whispered the creature's name, Deyu, which in the native tongue of the Toreka meant " Guardian". For he was the keeper of this world's secrets hidden deep within the misty mountain's icy clutches.
It is said that a witch found the Deyu's den. Fool or brave the witch entered the temple of ice and approached the slumbering beast.
" Oh great dragon, I've finally found you at last."
The witch cried out to the Deyu. For she had come here to slay the great beast and gain the knowledge that had been kept secret. Hours the two fought until day had turned to night. The Deyu slain, however, the witch knew the cost of taking it's life. For now she had to take the great dragons place. The Guardian of the Secret Gate.
